The course covers the basic principles of electricity, electrical measurement, and the different types of electrical circuits. Participants complete a variety of practical exercises including working with control modules and meters, and diagnosing electrical faults, as well as soldering, splicing, and working with SET boards.

Transmissions road testing and electronic diagnostic testing is also covered. Lastly, the fast learn procedure for transmission programming is also discussed. There are hands-on components with this course, consisting of several instructor-led demonstrations and a number of workstations with desk, bench, and vehicle exercises.

  For all GM transmission service technicians, this 2 day hands on course provides an in depth unit repair of front and rear wheel drive manual gearboxes. The internal components will be described and identified for the technician. There will also be an introduction to special tools and usage to perform repairs efficiently. Upon completion of this course, the technician will be able to perform manual gearbox system diagnosis and repair procedures.

  Building upon the technicians knowledge obtained in the related ACDelco Engine Performance web courses, this all makes instructor led course utilizes class discussion and hands on lab experience to further explore and improve the participant's air induction and fuel system diagnostic skills. Course topics include: fuel injector diagnosis and cleaning, vehicle hesitation, diagnosis of air induction system sensor faults, and oxygen sensors. This course will consist of discussion, demonstration, and on- vehicle or workbench exercises.
