    This course will provide the student with the knowledge, skill, and aeronautical experience necessary to meet the requirements for a commercial airplane pilot license. The student will demonstrate through knowledge tests, flight tests, and appropriate records that he/she meets the knowledge, skill, and experience requirements necessary to obtain a commercial pilot license. This course is only available to students in the Applied Technology Associate of Applied Science program pursuing the Aeronautical Science concentration. This course is only available off-campus through a participating Flight School Partner.

    This course prepares the student for the FAA fundamentals of instruction and flight instructor, airplane airmen knowledge and practical examinations. This course will provide the student with instructional knowledge, skill, and the aeronautical experience necessary to meet the requirements of a certified flight instructor certificate with an airplane single-engine class rating. The student will demonstrate through knowledge tests, flight tests, and appropriate records that he/she meets the instructional knowledge, skill, and experience necessary to obtain a certified flight instructor certificate with an airplane--single-engine class rating. This course is only available to students in the Applied Technology Associate of Applied Science program pursuing the Aeronautical Science concentration. This course is only available off-campus through a participating Flight School Partner.

    This course will familiarize students with health care organizations, the health care system, and the clinical environment in relationship to the student's role as a future health care practitioner. Topics will include the structure, organization, and function of hospital systems and staff; documentation and medical records; professional development and professionalism; the role and function of professional societies and membership; safety and emergency response; body mechanics; HIPAA; infection control; communication in the health care environment in relationship to continuum of care; ethical and legal responsibilities of health care practitioners; current trends in health care; and employment opportunities for health care professionals.

    Teaches principles of medical word building for understanding & effective use of medical language as a future healthcare practitioner/patient/caregiver. Presents medical terms, abbreviations, pathology, diagnostic exams, clinical & lab procedures related to body systems. Supports health literacy through the lifespan.
