Discuss study of language as a psychological phenomenon. Describe the processes involved in language learning, production, and comprehension, including: information processing, speech perception, lexical retrieval, sentence processing, and discourse processing. Discuss theoretical accounts of these processes, empirical evidence from scientific research studies, and the application of psycholinguistic concepts to communication disorders. Required course for students in the Audiology/Speech-Language Pathology major.
