Provides hands-on opportunities to analyze, design, implement, and test instrumentation systems, integrating hardware and software. Main topics include electromechanical, electromagnetic, optical, thermal, and sonic sensors and transducers, signal conditioning electronics, grounding and isolation, attenuation and amplification, noise and filtering, data acquisition hardware architecture, data acquisition software, virtual instrumentation, user interfaces, instrument control, and instrumentation system design and implementation.
