The objective of this course is to provide a broad overview of networking technologies with a focus on the TCP/IP model and includes Cisco device related labs. The course introduces concepts in data communications, Internet technologies and basic system performance analysis. Concepts covered included TCP/IP, LANs, WANs, internetworking, signals, communications media, routers, and switches.

In addition, the course will focus on learning to use a commercial editor and delve into server-sided scripting languages. For non-majors only. This can be used as a capstone fulfillment. Prerequisite:    CSW 315 requires prerequisites of CSW 131 and CSC 115.
