Special attention will be given to political, economic, social, racial and spiritual approaches to the problems of oppression, racism, marginalization and poverty, which are experienced by people of African descent only because of the color of their skin. Additionally, the course also teaches methods and ideologies of black liberation in order to develop and strengthen the student's consciousness of diverse oppressive forces and dynamics among people of African descent.
