  This course will cover the development of a female dramatic tradition. Research will be conducted on the positions that came to be filled by women in the course of theatre history: playwright, director, producer, actress, teacher, designer, dramaturge and critic. Studies will be made of plays that feature strong female roles. The texts will range from Greek classics to comtemporary works. Prerequisite:    THTR100 OR ENGL103 OR WMST150

Students will be introduced to QLab, the Adobe Suite, and three-dimensional components of Vectorworks and AutoCad as they complete specific projects. This class will allow students to learn on contemporary industry standard programs to be competitive in any technical theatre field. Prerequisite:    THTR100 AND THTR101 OR THTR210 AND THTR235
