  This course involves nontraditional games and exercises, group initiative problems, low and high ropes course elements. Spotting, belaying, and new games leadership skills will be developed. The student will have the opportunity to meet new challenges, take risks, and overcome obstacles through individual and group effort. Extensive use will be made of the Stony Acres ropes course.   This course is a study of offensive and defensive strategies implemented in a variety of sport games, focusing on the give and go, one on one, peer communication, faking and dodging, move to be open, set up to attack, decision making on where to place the ball and rolling the ball in the intended direction. Students will demonstrate the ability to design, implement, and assess the basic game tactics across different sport games as evidenced by their performance on planning developmentally appropriate learning experiences on the subject and using GPAI and other content specific instruments.
