3-0-3 (Eff. FL20) Students will examine the interplay between the disciplines of psychology and law. The course will examine the psychological and behavioral issues that impact both the criminal and civil justice systems, and conversely, how law and justice affect human behavior. Topics to be covered include police psychology, eyewitness testimony, competency/insanity, jury selection and decision-making, corrections and re-entry, victimology and victim services, employment law, family law, child custody, and juvenile deliquency. Prereqs: PSYC 101 or JUST 101 and ENGL 101.
