  This course is the last in a series of four internship sessions that will enable the student to gain practical experience assisting Homeland Security Investigations special agents with criminal cases and prosecutions with duties such as: imaging and processing digital media, forensic analysis, assisting investigators to identify high-value targets and locate child victims, and preparing detailed reports. Students are required to complete three hundred internship hours, and students must secure their own internship position. Restricted to Computer Forensic Analyst: HERO students.   Chemistry I is a qualitative and quantitative study, both in the classroom and the laboratory, of matter and energy as they relate to the chemical properties of solids, liquids, gases, and solutions. Topics include stoichiometry, atomic/ molecular structure, bonding, states of matter, changes of state, and solutions. A quantitative study of each area is stressed; a strong background in chemistry and mathematics is required. This course is intended for science and engineering majors. Core: SCI.
