This course will encourage students to explore a personal investigation of Sculpture through production, critique, history and aesthetics. Students will demonstrate self-directed behavior relevant to professionalism and artistry. Coursework will require an understanding of self that extends to an integral commitment in the production of a variety of work that is representative of the student's individual aesthetic. The quality and caliber of work produced in this course will define the student as a sculptor. Through creative studio practice, students should develop a high degree of self-awareness and intrinsic motivation.
