This course introduces math topics used in allied health fields. This course is appropriate for students intending to pursue the health sciences or health professions fields. Topics include arithmetic computations in health applications, algebra and geometry, ratios and proportions, metric system, apothecary system, household(English) system, conversion factors, dosage calculations, pediatric dosages, solutioins and abbreviations, basics of statistics, graphing and graph interpretation. A scientific calculator is required.
Prerequisite:
Take MAT-020 MAT-030 MAT-110 MAT-150 MAT-210 MAT-160 MAT-165 MAT-180 MAT-220 MAT-035 or MAT-221; Minimum grade C. (Required, Previous).
