Initially, students will learn to use the Windows environment and will also use word processing, spreadsheet, and database software to solve a variety of problems. The specific applications software which will be used includes Windows,Word, Excel, and Access. Students will also access the Internet. The major emphasis of the course will be a project applying these skills to produce a variety of documents for a business or organization. Discussions, research and collaboration in a workshop format will result in a culminating final product and presentation that will incorporate the work of the entire semester.
