Analysis of conflicting goals in public policy, i.e., treatment and rehabilitation vs. punishment and deterrence. The prison as a total institution; racial discrimination in the administration of justice; treatment of high vs. low status offenders; probation, parole, halfway houses, etc. Offered: Spring Term.
