In this course students explore the components and operation of aircraft systems including hydraulic, electrical, fuel, oil, pressurization, flight control, anti-icing and fire, as well as the interrelationship of directional guidance. Performance charts, weight and balance calculations and sections of aircraft operating manuals are addressed. Multiple engine systemsranging from basic piston engines to sophisticated jet propulsion and auxiliary power units are studied. In addition, students learn New Generation and analog avionics and navigation systems.
