  • A presentation of the mathematics central to a comprehensive elementary and middle-school mathematics curriculum. The four-step problem solving process is stressed throughout the course. Topics included are sets, numeration, operations and properties of real numbers, number theory, fractions, decimals, percent, ratio and proportion, and algebra basics. Prerequisite(s): MTH 052 or Placement.
