Topics include algebra of the real numbers, algebraic, exponential, and logarithmic functions and their graphs, systems of equations, inequalities, and absolute value.

  • This course is a continuation of MTH 100. Topics include: functions and relations including circles and linear, polynomial and rational functions; transformations and analysis of functions including symmetry, difference quotient, function composition and inverses; polynomial and rational inequalities; applications of functions including optimization and variation; and linear and nonlinear systems of equations in two and three variables. Prerequisite(s): MTH 100, 100A or Placement
