  Physical Assessment & Application of Nursing Process. This course provides the students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform a comprehensive health assessment utilizing history taking, inspection, palpation, percussion, and auscultation. Theoretical and laboratory experiences will provide students the abilities to implement assessment strategies, as well as expected assessment findings, frequently seen variations from expected assessments, and how cultural differences can impact assessment and findings. The course includes application of the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) test plan, assessment of knowledge deficits, and remediation. This analysis will allow the student to identify and address trended knowledge gaps, learning strategies, and learning resources to improve knowledge in preparation for practice. Synthesis of concepts learned in the curriculum will result in a personal study plan to prepare for success on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN exam).
