This course presents the life cycle of a computer system, the tools used by the systems analyst in each phase, and the role of the systems analyst within that life cycle. Stressing the importance of functioning as a member of a team, the course presents techniques to successfully manage a project, as well as communication with other members of the team and the organization. The course focuses on the enemy, why they hate us and the threat they pose; the homeland security policies and procedures enacted since 9/11; the key players at the federal and state and local levels. Successful students will received four certifications from the Federal Emergency Management Administration in Incident Command and the National Incident Management System.
