NPRC serves communities in northern Pennsylvania by engaging recent high-school graduates, college transfer students, individuals who are looking to return to college or start college while balancing work and family, first-generation students, and individuals seeking to start college early (dual enrollment students). The College brings classrooms to communities by providing a flexible, career-focused curriculum and quality instruction using interactive media. NPRC offers low-cost, high-quality, student-centered academic and workforce development programs which are highly responsive to existing or emerging community needs.

  • Accepts Transfers:
    NPRC accepts all transfer students who submit a complete application and works to ensure that the transition to NPRC is as seamless as possible.

    During the 2022-2023 Academic Year NPRC received 14 complete transfer student applications.

    NPRC accepted 100% of students who completed the application process and submitted all required documentation.

  • Degree Completion Programs:
    NPRC offers the following Associate Degree Programs: Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, Liberal Studies, and Social Sciences. NPRC also offers a 30 credit hour Certificate in General Studies.
  • Technical/Vocation Credit Accepted:
    Credit for prior learning may be awarded to eligible students who completed specified high school technical/vocational programs. For additional details please visit the College's website.
  • Credit For Life Experience:
    Credit for prior learning may be awarded to eligible students in a variety of circumstances including: successful completion of a nationally recognized exam, active industry credential or licensure, or military training.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    No minimum GPA is required for acceptance of Transfer Students.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Receipt of complete official transcripts is required to conduct the transcript evaluation process for transfer students.
  • SAT Scores:
    As an open admission college, NPRC does not require students to submit SAT, ACT, or other college entrance exam scores.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    NPRC does not require any letters of recommendation as a condition of admission.
  • Essay:
    NPRC does not require applicants to complete an essay as part of the admissions process as a condition of admission.
  • Application Fee:
    To support accessibility and affordability, NPRC does not charge an application fee.
  • Interview:

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Any course with a grade of C or higher from any institution of higher learning for which an equivalent or related course exists at NPRC is eligible for consideration for the awarding of transfer credit.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for completion of a certificate or degree through enrollment in NPRC coursework.

    Forty-three percent of students graduating in the 2022-2023 Academic Year who responded to NPRC's Graduate Survey self-reported plans to transfer to four-year institutions following graduation.
