The information presented is an unofficial guide to how courses may transfer. Other factors to consider are grades received in the courses, the year in which the course was taken, and the major pursued after transfer. In all instances, final decisions about acceptance of course credit will be made by Luzerne County Community College.

If you complete the following with AP - Advanced Placement:

  • Calculus BC can be offered by schools that are able to complete all the prerequisites before the course. Calculus BC is a full-year course in the calculus of functions of a single variable. It includes all topics covered in Calculus AB plus additional topics. Both courses represent college-level mathematics for which most colleges grant advanced placement and credit. The content of Calculus BC is designed to qualify the student for placement and credit in a course that is one course beyond that granted for Calculus AB.

You may receive up to 8.00 credits at Luzerne County Community College:

  • A first level College Calculus course. Topics studied include: limits, continuity, differentiation, and applications of the derivative. The course concludes with an introduction to anti-differentiation. A graphing calculator is required.
