The goal of the AP Environmental Science course is to provide students with the scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies required to understand the interrelationships of the natural world, to identify and analyze environmental problems both natural and human-made, to evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and to examine alternative solutions for resolving and/or preventing them.

This course provides lecture and lab experience for non-science majors through a survey of the Biological Sciences, with emphasis on Reproductioin, Environmental Biology, Human Genetics, Evolution, and Anatomical Systems. Individualized instructional techniques will be incorporated into the course. No prior science background is required. (3-2-4) Honors Option Available Honor students will have additional exercises that relate to internationalization/globalization to meet the honors requirement. (3-2-4)
