Introductory course for the International Studies Major and Minor, International Development Minor and Area Studies Certificates. Uses an interdisciplinary approach to assist in understanding other cultures, countries, and world regions, and the global forces that link them together. Teaches research and problem-solving to mitigate tensions in cross-cultural encounters, international relations and globalization. If prerequisite courses are not met instructor approval is required.
