This course is designed to enhance the knowledge base of an EMT particularly when caring for an adult patient experiencing a cardia emergency. Students will be able to demonstrate competency in airway assessment and management, explain the relationship between myocardial oxygen demand verses supply, differentiate between angina pectoris and myocardial infarction, and develop an understanding of the resuscitation team approach.
