This workshop is for teachers of elementary, middle, and junior high school students who want to learn how to use practical, uncomplicated approaches to the teaching of written communication. Among the topics will be: (1) the fundamentals of a writing program, (2) creating a variety of audiences, (3) the interrelationships of oral and written communication, (4) activities which support writing and speaking programs, (5) private and public writing activities, (6) overcoming the paper load, and (7) basic steps to a successful program. This workshop serves teachers of all subject areas.
