Intensive experience with the spoken language, recommended particularly for secondary education foreign language majors. Taped exercises in comprehension. Conversations concerning everyday life, with emphasis on appropriate vocabulary. Emphasis on modern society and customs; schools, sports, holidays, literature, etc. Remedial treatment of phonetics and grammar. Offered in spring. Prereq: SPAN 351 or equivalent.
