  • Tuition and Fees:
    CCAC offers flat rate tuition of $1,890 for 12–18 credits, plus fees, to Allegheny County residents. Flat rate tuition for residents of other Pennsylvania counties is $3,660, plus fees; out-of-state tuition is $5,490, plus fees.

Information for Transfer In Students

  • Accepts Transfers:
    CCAC welcomes transfer students from local and national two- and four-year institutions to begin or complete a degree, or pursue health or career programs. Last year, CCAC accepted credits from more than 2,000 students and over 250 institutions.
  • Transfer Agreements:
    CCAC has articulation agreements with the 10 universities in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and has specific articulation agreements with 40 additional four-year schools allowing graduates to transfer as juniors into 165 programs.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    Students are urged to submit transcripts from their previous schools well in advance of the start of their first term so CCAC can complete an evaluation for the student’s first advising/registration interview.
  • SAT Scores:
    CCAC does not require SAT scores, but will review those scores for placement purposes.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Not required
  • Essay:
    Not required
  • Application Fee:
    CCAC does not charge an application fee.
  • Interview:
    All new degree-seeking students are required to see an advisor for their first registration. All continuing students are encouraged to use this service as well.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    C
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A minimum of 15 credits need to be taken at CCAC for any degree. A certificate or diploma requires a minimum of one-half of the credits required for graduation be taken at CCAC. Credit requirements are exclusive of Advanced Standing/Prior Learning.
