Community College of Philadelphia is an open-admission, associate degree-granting institution that offers more than 70 degree and certificate programs in the arts, business, health care, science and technology, humanities and social and human services. Many of our degree students transfer to four-year institutions while others seek employment in the Philadelphia region. Classes are held at the Main Campus, our three Regional Centers and at neighborhood sites throughout the City.

    The Community College of Philadelphia Foundation has established several student scholarship programs. The College participates in the following federal and state-funded programs: Pell, FSEOG, Work-Study, Direct Loans, PLUS Loans and PHEAA.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Not Required.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Transcripts must remain sealed in original envelope from college/university and mailed to CCP Attn: Transfer Credit & Placement Office (MG-17) OR emailed directly from college/university to traneval@ccp.edu.
  • SAT Scores:
    SAT taken BEFORE March 2016 min 510 English and 470 math. SAT taken March 2016 and AFTER min 560 Evidence Based Reading/Writing and 510 math. For more information, visit http://ccp.edu/getting-started/what-are-placement-tests.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Not required.
  • Essay:
    Not required.
  • Application Fee:
    Students registering for the first time to take credit courses will be charged a one-time new student processing fee of $60. The fee will be included in the first semester bill. This fee is nonrefundable as of the first day of the semester.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    CCP will accept courses in which the grade earned was a C- or better, unless otherwise specified by program requirements.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    CCP will grant degrees and academic certificates only to students who have earned at least 30 credit hours in residence for a degree and 15 credit hours for an academic certificate. (See Transfer Policy document for further details.)
