Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Biology with a concentration in Cardiovascular Perfusion must have a minimum 3.500 GPA and cumulative 3.500 GPA in the sciences. Behavioral Neuroscience with Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM) must have a minimum 3.000 GPA and a cumulative 3.000 GPA in the sciences. Health Sciences must have a minimum 3.250 GPA and cumulative 3.250 GPA in the sciences. Early Childhood Education must have a minimum 3.000 GPA. If the student is transferring 48 or more credits, he/she must also have successfully passed PAPA I or CORE ETS. Nursing must have a minimum 3.250 GPA with appropriate coursework. Pre-Nursing must have a minimum 3.000 GPA. Respiratory therapy must have a minimum 2.500 GPA. All other programs require a minimum 2.000 GPA.
  • Official Transcripts:
    All official college transcripts. High school transcripts or GED scores are required of all applicants with less than 12 transferable credits. Copy of RN license required for RN to BSN program. Copy of CRT/RRT license for respiratory care degree com.
  • SAT Scores:
    As long as students have completed at least one full time (12 credits) semester at another college and meet the set minimum transfer admissions criteria, standardized test scores are not required.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Letters of recommendation are not required.
  • Essay:
    An essay is not required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is no fee to apply to Carlow.
  • Interview:
    Interviews are not required, but students are encouraged to schedule an appointment with their admissions counselor.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    Associates Degrees are not required.
  • Other Requirements:
    Official TOEFL required for international applicants.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Grades must be a "C" or above to be transferred to Carlow. Courses taken for pass/fail or satisfactory/unsatisfactory grades may only be transferred if it can be verified that a pass or satisfactory grade is equivalent to a C or higher.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A maximum of 90 credits can be transferred from another institution.
