Examines alternative areas that respiratory care is practiced outside of the acute hospital setting. At the end of this course, the students will understand their role as respiratory therapists in the home-care, sub-acute care, pulmonary rehabilitation, case management, sleep lab, smoking cessation programs, RT navigator program, palliative care, and long-term ventilator hospitals. This course provides a pulmonary rehabilitation, home care respiratory therapy and respiratory therapist's role in disease management.
