This course focuses on evidence-based management and education of patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic medical imaging procedures. The ethical and moral implications associated with delivery of care, along with how human diversity in healthcare impacts the treatment of patients will be discussed.   Provides an opportunity to attain an American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certificate. Effective surveillance, shallow and deep water saves, breathing and cardiac emergencies, CPR/AED, first aid, and caring for head, neck and spinal injuries are taught as part of this course. Students in this course must be proficient at swimming. Students interested in lifeguarding certification must pass the standard American Red Cross swimming tests conducted in the first week of class.
