Topics include fundamental theories of blood group antigens, the genetics of inheritance, formation of corresponding antibodies and relevance to transfusion. Students perform basic blood bank procedures and select donors. Relationships of infection and immunity and specific serological methods for diagnosis of disease will be briefly described.
