Basic sampling and analysis methods will be presented followed by hands-on field exercises employing these techniques. Field notebook documentation and report preparation will be emphasized. Selected global problems, such as waste production and disposal, energy use, atmospheric warming, ozone depletion, and acid deposition are analyzed along with possible alternatives.
