Spatial approach of land and the interaction of the physical and cultural environment in the decision-making process will be emphasized.

Consideration is given to the historical development of transport systems while the course emphasizes the geographic, technical, political, social, environmental, and economic realities that challenge the maintenance of current, and provision of future, networks. The course has a strong focus on topical case studies, emerging technologies and the connections between effective transportation and environmental sustainability.
