This course is an introduction to mathematical reasoning analysis required to perform in business and financial operations. Students will apply mathematical computations in the following areas: percentage rates, discounts, markups, markdowns, profit or loss, valuation of inventory, payroll, taxes, simple and compound interest, time value of money, annuities, amortization, sinking funds, yield rates of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, insurance.
Prerequisite:
Take MAT-030 MAT-035 MAT-110 MAT-150 MAT-160 MAT-165 MAT-180 MAT-220 MAT-221 MAT-035 or MAT-210; Minimum grade D. (Required, Previous).
