Explores the communicative processes inherent in the development and management of conflict at various social levels. Highlights the various influences on how people manage conflicts at the interpersonal, intercultural, organizational and societal levels with face-to-face and mediated modes of communication. Focuses on specific approaches to managing and resolving conflict, including mediation, negotiation, arbitration, facilitation, and peacebuilding.

COMM 100, ENGL 110, junior standing.
