Introduces the basic methods of structural and non-structural construction including ceilings,floors, walls, doors, and windows relative to interior space planning. Focuses on thematerials and finishes used to complete the interior space as well as those used on furniture,fixtures, and equipment. Examines manufacturing techniques, application, specificationguidelines, estimating, and installation methods. Considers relevant codes, environmentalissues, and impact on the responsibilities and decision making of interior designers.
