Introduces methodological and ethical research principles in public health. Includesstudy designs, data collection, human subjects protection, quantitative and qualitativeapproaches, program evaluation, and community-based participatory researchapplications. Applies relevant case studies to emphasize research methods used, such ashypothesis generation and testing, study design, data collection and analysis, searchingand critically evaluating research literature, identifying strengths and weaknesses ofresearch studies and drawing conclusions from research evidence.
