  The internship provides students the opportunity to gain vital hands-on work experience in the communication discipline that cannot come from classroom experience alone. The program is designed to provide students with exposure to professional opportunities related to the field, as well as helping them to build their resumes and begin developing a network of industry contacts. Credits earned vary based upon the amount of time spent on the job. All internships must be approved by the Department's Internship Coordinator and must meet federal guidelines. Note: This course fulfills the requirement for an MDC major to complete an internship or practicum as part of the major. Prerequisite:    MDC 250, MDC 251
