This course addresses the ways in which various ideologies compete for global dominance by employing advocacy strategies and propaganda techniques, which are now more complex and consequential due to rapidly advancing communication technologies. By manipulating visual imagery, propagandists often exert control over the public's perception of political, social and economic realities.
