  Introductory course in developmental biology. Emphasis will be on the molecules and mechanisms that control gametogenesis and the process of development from a single fertilized egg to an adult organism. Topics that will be highlighted include the role of genetic regulation in development, comparison of genes and processes in different organisms, and the contribution developmental biology makes to our understanding of evolution.
