Continues the competencies covered in CNT 120. This course teaches students the following concepts through lecture and hands-on laboratory exercises: virtualization, cloud computing, remote access, encryption, network risk management, firewalls, unified communications, network management, network monitoring, subnetting, supernetting, Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), WAN technologies, Wireless Local Area Network (WLANs), Industrial networks, troubleshooting, and Network Design. Students regularly use multiple operating systems, virutal machines and network hardware to complete hands-on laboratory exercises. Additional focus is placed upon reviewing the objectives on the Network+ exam to help students prepare for the Network+ certification exam. However, this course is not sponsored, nor endorsed, nor affiliated with CompTIA, Inc. A course fee is required. Prerequisite: CNT 120 with a grade of C or higher.
