Analyzes Spanish sound system. Drills on pronunciation and intonation. Selections of prose, poetry, and songs for imitation. Includes a study of the speech organs and how this knowledge helps to articulate and pronounce Spanish language words with more precision and better sentence rhythm. Introduces students to and practice of the International Phonetic Alphabet for transcription of Spanish speech.
