The Health Humanities explore human health and illness with a focus on literature, performance, and art in all its forms. Throughout this course, we will review and critically analyze materials representative of Hispanic cultures centered on topics of health, illness, and disability, from the perspective of people receiving treatment or who may need it, providers, and caretakers. In the process, students will continue to develop their critical thinking and linguistic skills in the Spanish language related to Hispanic peoples, improve their knowledge of Hispanic cultures, and improve their understanding, overall, of the connections between the Humanities and Health
