This course will review cultural commonalities in how Hispanic people and institutions approach healthcare in Spanish America and the US, as well as regional particularities. We will also discuss approaches to healthcare across the region. At the end of the term, students will be prepared to understand how different populations may relate and understand their access to health. Students will work in an interdisciplinary fashion, working on integrating class materials with their own personal or professional interests.
