Description:
This course is designed to refine study skills and comprehension ability. Topics include but, are not limited to, critical reading skills and study skills distinguishing fact from opinion, identifying cause and effect, and effectively using figurative language. Content reading will be emphasized. This course is open to students who test between 61 and 85 on the Accuplacer test, and those students who have successfully completed RDG 050. The systematic use of study strategies such as SQ3R will be included in this course.
