This course introduces the licensed practical nurse (LPN) to the concepts of professional nursing practice building on previous knowledge and practice as the LPN transitions to the registered nurse role. The student identifies the wellness needs of the individual and community using clinical reasoning and judgement with integration of the nursing process needed for transitioning to the role of the registered nurse. Emphasis is placed on development of skills necessary for safe, client centered care that will prepare the student for success in the Nursing Program's curriculum. This course is subject to a course fee.
