This course will examine the product-creation process (product and services) from opportunity identification to product production. Topics will include --- identifying customer needs, patents and intellectual property, robust design, rapid prototyping, concept testing, product architecture and product production (or outsourcing). This is a hands-on course that relies primarily on real world application of product creation across multiple disciplines. A group project will require students to design and development of an actual product. Corequisite:MKT305
