ENGL 427 - Advanced Poetry Workshop

Provides opportunities for advanced students to enhance professional skills as poets. Students will compose original poems and revise them guided by feedback, ultimately producing creative pieces of sufficient quality to be submitted to appropriate publication venues and/or conferences. In addition, students will offer refined critiques to fellow poets, modeling approaches applied in the publishing world. Significant recent trends in publishing as well as resources to locate outlets for publication will be reviewed. This class is not available for graduate credit.
