Introduces students to methods and uses of oral history. Students learn to analyze and use oral history sources, and will practice oral history protocols including the conduct of recorded interviews, the storage of oral history recordings, and the transcription of oral history interviews. Students will also be introduced to alternative uses for oral history including audio and video documentary, and digital methods of exhibition. Prerequisites: sophomore standing or instructor's permission. This class is available for graduate credit.
